Town Square Vision

Kyneton and District Town Square Co-Op was formed in 2018 to facilitate community engagement and agency as central to the successful retention of the Old Kyneton Primary School site in public ownership. The school site has the potential to become part of a broarder resident driven vision for the development of a town square in the heart of kyneton.

Save the Old Woodshed

The woodshed was built by the community in 1861 as part of improvements to the school under the fourth head teacher Ross Cox. It was preserved in the lbrary as part of the 1984 rebuilding program. The exquisite bluestone craftmanship celebrates the vision of those residents who contributed to much to the early establishment of secular education in Kyneton.
