The elected West Ward Councillors recently supported officer advice recommending the unnecessary removal of nine mature elm trees at the Kyneton Showgrounds. 1500 petitioners never got a chance to put their case directly to Council before a unamanimous vote was taken. Are you prepared to support the setting up of a working group to investigate the potential to create some kind of citizens advisory body to monitor Council communication and consultation processes?
